Walking through Queen’s Park the other day I took several photos of the squirrel I saw, a couple of which I included in my previous post, but as he looked so cute I thought he deserved a post of his own. I actually took a photo of another squirrel when I was in the same park last year so I’ve included him too.
Although the squirrel I saw last year very quickly scampered up the tree the second one wasn’t in too much of a hurry so I was able to watch him from a respectable distance for several minutes. I know grey squirrels are classed as vermin but to me it doesn’t matter what colour they are, they are all cute and this one certainly was.
I love to see squirrels as they are just so cute. I bought myself a Steiff squirrel many years ago so I could have one of my own π My all time favourite holidays have been in lodges in forest settings so I wake up to see the wildlife. Annie being a lurcher would always alert me if there was a squirrel about, she would go look for them and that’s why I could never have taken photos like you have done,. I love the one facing the camera, so adorable π
I saw in my email blog post notification that you were having WordPress problems, fixed now I see. Just, wait until you post on Blogger. I haven’t used the new Blogger interface yet as I don’t like it but as from yesterday it defaults to it but you can still revert to the old, legacy Blogger for a short while yet so I do that but it is a total pain in the backside.
Poppie is never off the lead but if she had been she would have been straight after that one the other day so I’d have had no chance of any photos. Nothing wrong with buying a Steiff squirrel, a few years ago I bought a meerkat from a zoo gift shop because I’d been in the enclosure to feed them and thought they were so cute π A future blog post maybe?? π
I haven’t used Blogger since last year as I haven’t been camping recently – I believe things have changed so I hope I can get my head round it when I do go back to it. With WordPress I have the option to continue with my original editor so my blog posts and pages will stay the same once published but the layout for writing them is now totally different and it’s hard to access certain features. I don’t know how I did it but I managed to fix the ‘like’ button problem by accident when I was messing about on my tablet during the night – as you do π I really hate when things change so radically and I firmly believe that the only people who benefit are the ones who make the changes! π¦
I hope you’re enjoying your blogging break Jayne. I presume you haven’t yet experienced the new Blogger system if it’s only recently been introduced – I’m dreading the time when I have to deal with it π¦
It is very sweet. I love watching the one near me who launches himself at branches that are too flimsy for him, so he goes crashing down, uninjured though.

I know they are meant to be vermin but I find them so very cute. Some great captures, Eunice. X

Oh poor you, Blogger has also changed its interface – I hear many are struggling with their new layout, so it’s not just WordPress.
As for your grey tree rats . . . bl**dy vermin π π

It beats me how they manage to leap from branch to branch without falling off π
